ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program™ (PTAP) Apply

First, determine whether your program is eligible and assess your readiness to apply. See the Practice Transition Accreditation Program™ Application Manual for full eligibility criteria.

PTAP program accreditation is granted for 3 years with an option to apply for renewal. Sel-study packages not submitted in accordance with the submission requirements will be returned for re-submission. Please refer to Appendix A of the PTAP Application Manual.

Assess Readiness to Apply

  1. Complete a PTAP Gap Analysis for your program

    • This resource is provided as a self-directed aid. You do not need to submit this to the Accreditation Program Office.

  2. Review the PTAP Accreditation Criteria

    Download PTAP Manual

    OR purchase a hard copy of the PTAP Manual. Manual clarifications and updates to PTAP criteria, if any, will be posted on this website.

  3. View the PTAP Overview Webinar

  4. Contact the PTAP Staff to determine the appropriate review cycle for your program.

  5. Submit a completed PTAP Application Form to confirm your program's eligibility. Applications should be submitted according to the cycle dates in the table below.

  6. After program eligibility is confirmed, PTAP Staff will schedule an applicant webinar to review the self-study process in detail.
