ANCC's Continuing Education Programs

ANCC produces several of its own continuing nursing education programs - including seminars, conferences, books, and online courses.

Review Seminars/Study Groups (contact hours provided)
Review Seminars are available at various hospitals and schools of nursing across the country. Study Groups follow the same content as seminars, meeting during several telephone conference calls scheduled during a specific time period.

Review and Resource Manuals (contact hours available)
Written by nursing experts, thus manual help candidates prepare for the certification exam by enhancing your critical thinking skills and identifying strengths and weaknesses. Contact hours available on-line for an additional fee.

Narrated PowerPoint Web Courses (contact hours provided) This course contains the same content as our popular Review Seminars, with the voice over of an instructor talking the student through the material. CNE contact hours included.

Magnet Workshops (contact hours provided)
These workshops present the new model and goes into detail about each of the Magnet Model Components that are part of the new 2008 Magnet Recognition Application Manual. As the home of the Magnet Recognition Program ® , ANCC is the most accurate and up-to-date source of information on navigating the Journey to Magnet Excellence.

Annual National Magnet Conference (contact hours provided)
As the official voice of the Magnet Recognition Program ® , this conference is the largest gathering of Magnetized organizations

Annual Accreditation Symposium (contact hours provided)
Held in conjunction with the National Nursing Staff Development Organization (NNSDO) Annual Conference , this annual event addresses important trends and changes in the accreditation environment for continuing nursing education.

It would be against our own rules to accredit ourselves, so contact hours for the ANCC-provided continuing nursing education programs listed above are overseen by American Nurses Association (ANA), which in turn follows all ANCC accreditation standards.

ANA is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by ANCC's Commission on Accreditation.

ANA is approved as a provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider number 6178.
