  1. What do employees need, in terms of CE and Competency?

  2. What impact does CNE have on patient safety?

  3. What impact is there on implementation (and patient care) (and employee satisfaction) when CE is provided to the whole healthcare team?

  4. What evidence is there to show that healthcare professionals change their clinical practices based upon what they learned in a CNE activity?

  5. How are people measuring learning (besides seat time)?

  6. How are people measuring, controlling for and limiting bias in content?

  7. What evidence is there to show that CE or CNE make any difference? Is there any information to be gained from comparing healthcare outcomes in states with/ without mandated CNE? What about comparing Magnet Hosp with/ without ANCC accreditation or other versions of looking at comparable organizations with/ without ANCC CNE accreditation?

  8. Is there a difference between learner mandated outcomes versus outcomes of activities that are program directed? (satisfaction/ patient care outcomes/ knowledge outcomes)

  9. Does training that utilizes a simulation manikin and scenario improve competency or confidence or patient safety?

  10. What change does accreditation bring to staff/ organizations in terms of compliance?
