The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) wants to recognize an individual—either a nurse or a non-nurse—who has made a significant contribution to healthcare across borders and who has demonstrated a dedication to nursing.
Anyone knowing such an individual is invited to submit a nomination. Self-nominations are appropriate. Sitting members of the ANCC Board of Directors or the Awards Committee are not eligible for nomination.
Winners will receive complimentary transportation, hotel accommodations, and registration for the ANCC National Magnet Conference®. Winners must be present to receive the award in Phoenix, Arizona on October 13 or 14, 2010.
Nomination Criteria
The Nominee
- Is an individual—nurse or non-nurse—who demonstrates dedication to nursing and innovative approaches to healthcare.
- Demonstrates support for excellence in healthcare leadership for the global community.
- Is collaborative in supporting global healthcare initiatives across borders.
- Is a person of integrity who demonstrates a commitment to service .
- Nominees must agree to be nominated, to deliver a public address on the occasion of the presentation of the award at the ANCC National Magnet Conference.
- Nominations may be made by a nurse or non-nurse.
- Individuals may nominate themselves.
Nomination Checklist
Please make sure you have completed the following:
- Nomination form (Part I), filled out and signed by the nominee.
- Nominee's one page curriculum vitae.
- Nomination form (Part II) filled out and signed by the person(s) nominating.
Completed forms must be received at ANCC headquarters by April 26, 2010.
