About the Magnet Learning Communities

Magnet Model

The Magnet Learning Communities, structured on the Magnet model, build on the success of the Magnet Recognition Program which measures nursing excellence.

The Community offers four Knowledge Centers:
  • Transformational Leadership
  • Structural Empowerment
  • Exemplary Professional Practice, and
  • New Knowledge, Innovation & Improvements
Each Knowledge Center offers a library of resources and moderated discussion forums. The library contains exemplars, bibliographies and research reviews to build upon your knowledge and skills and the existing work within your organization.

Discussion Forums
The forums include moderated discussions which bring together nurse leaders who share knowledge and experiences related to leadership, engagement, clinical practice, innovation, evidence-based practice, research, and outcomes. These events are collaborative and may be limited in size to facilitate discussion, questions and answers.

Webinars
The Magnet Recognition Program analysts bring the latest successful practices in documenting evidence to demonstrate development, dissemination and implementation of the Sources of Evidence. In addition, national experts in their fields or nursing leaders from Magnet recognized organizations who have achieved considerable success in creating a culture of nursing excellence share their strategies.
