Dr. Fran Hicks is an experienced nurse executive with a background that includes clinical practice, teaching, academic administration, board leadership, and experience as a health care consultant. She draws on her distinctive combination of nursing, health care, academic, and management acumen to develop tailored, valuable solutions to the unique needs of health care organizations with a focus on nurses and nursing.
Fran brings a comprehensive background in consultation. Her clients include health care organizations, nursing associations, regulatory agencies, state governmental agencies, academic institutions, corporate boards in the public and private sectors, and individuals. Fran also presents at the ANCC Journey to Nursing Excellence™ workshops. She is also a Fellow with the American Academy of Nursing. Education
Fran received a diploma in nursing from Oklahoma Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, a BSN from
Northwestern State University, a MSN from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing of Case
Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas.
