Initial Certification Application
Apply using the "Apply Online" button for fastest service, or use the typeable PDF application that can be saved on your computer, printed, signed, and then mailed. Please submit either online or by mail.

Note: Final, degree conferred transcript(s) and the Validation of Education Form must be received before your application is considered complete. This material will be evaluated and reviewed by an ANCC Nurse Registrar for eligibility.

This exam is a computer-based test. This means you can apply all year and test during a 90-day window at a time and location convenient to you. Applications for this certification will be accepted at any time.

Renewal Application
Certifications must be renewed every 5 years. Renewal applications are due at least 8 weeks before your certification expiration date. Apply using the "RENEW Online Here" button for fastest service, or use the typeable PDF application that can be saved on your computer, printed, signed, and then mailed. Please submit either online or by mail.

Professional Development for Renewal
You can enter your professional development any time during your 5-year renewal cycle so it is already recorded in your account when it's time to renew. Track your professional development using Access My Account then look for Professional Development in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

Be sure to enter your professional development this way before you start your application using the "RENEW Online Here" button. Anything you enter into Access My Account after you have started the online renewal process will not transfer over to the application. If this happens, please contact ANCC for assistance.

VA/DoD Discount Coupon
For a short time, The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) are offering a discount off of the non-member price of this certification. Simply click on the title to download the coupon and submit this coupon along with proof of your VA/DoD affiliation when you send in your ANCC certification application.

Please be sure to include the coupon with your application. ANCC will not accept the discount coupon if it is sent separately after the application is submitted.
