Accreditation Program’s Public Comment Meeting on April 20, 2007

Chairperson Mary Koithan, PhD, RN, APRN, BC and the ANCC Commission on Accreditation invite you to take part in the Accreditation Program’s Public Comment Meeting on April 20, 2006.

Should you choose to be a participant it is requested that you submit written comments regarding any of the following:

The 2006 Provider Criteria;

  • The 2006 Approver Criteria;
  • Criteria revisions to be considered for the future;
  • Innovative and meaningful ways to evaluate and streamline the Accreditation Program;
  • The Unified Application sponsored by the ANCC, ACCME, and ACPE;
  • Interdisciplinary Collaborations;
  • Partnership opportunities to explore;
  • Initiatives needed or desired from the ANCC Accreditation Program; and
  • Any other comments.

Written comments must be received by the Accreditation Program before close of business on Friday, March 30, 2007. All written comments will be distributed to the ANCC Commission on Accreditation to review for the Public Comment Meeting.

Anyone wishing to provide verbal testimony on April 9 must also submit their testimony in writing to the Accreditation Program. Please note that all submissions MUST BE RECEIVED BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS Frdiay, March 30, 2006 for verbal testimony to be made before the Commission on Accreditation. Verbal testimony will be heard by the Commission on Accreditation between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Due to anticipated volume it is requested that verbal testimony be limited to seven (7) minutes. Time slots for verbal testimony will be presented on a first-come, first-serve basis. All interested in providing verbal testimony, either in person or via conference call, are directed to contact Barbara Feild, Accreditation Specialist, at 301-628-5263 or at barbara.feild@ana.org so that testimony particulars can be arranged.
