The Magnet Recognition Program® and the Journal of Nursing Administration are delighted to announce the first printing of a volume of Magnet® peer-reviewed articles documenting the progress of the program over the years. The supplement contains six previously published research articles whose outcomes support the value of the Magnet Recognition Program. Copies are available through the Magnet e-store (click on JONA supplement) for $9.95 each.

The Magnet Model Components and Sources of Evidence is a 46-page 5x8 resource that only includes the components of the Magnet Model and the related Sources of Evidence used in the appraisal process. It does not include the full scope of the application requirements included in the 2008 Manual. Order 2008 Magnet Recognition Program® Manual - Recognizing Nursing Excellence
The 2008 edition of the Magnet Recognition Program ® Manual is now available. ANCC is particularly proud of this edition which is based on the 5 model components structured to focus health care organizations on achieving superior performance as evidenced by outcomes, The manual provided detailed information on the instructions and process for documentation submission.

The Manual is effective October 1, 2009 for all applicants and Magnet recognized organizations. August 1, 2009 is the last written documentation submission cycle in which organizations may use the 2005 Manual. Please note that there are key eligibility requirements that become effective January 1, 2009 for all designated and applicant organizations.
